Book of the Week...Heart of a Dragon, Gena Showalter

Sigh. What a FABULOUS book! I love Gena Showalter’s work, and Heart of the Dragon is quite possibly her best yet. Hot and tender in equal measures, this is fantasy romance at its very best. Grace Carlyle has been searching for something for years…fulfillment. As a flight attendant, she’s been all over the world, and done things that most haven’t. But there’s still something missing. When her brother disappears in the Amazon, she flies down to hunt for him, taking with her the jeweled necklace he sent her in his last letter. Darius en Kragin is a dragon-warrior, Guardian of the Mist. Fated to kill any who enter the portal to Atlantis, he’s spent three hundred years shutting down his heart in order to do his duty. When Grace stumbles through the mist, he’s dumbfounded by the emotions she awakes in him, and finds himself unable to do the one thing he’s good at – killing her. When men from the Argonauts, Grace’s brother’s company, infiltrate another portal and ally themselves with the vampires, its war, for humans can not be allowed into Atlantis. Filled with fabulous creatures and an interesting take on the legend of Atlantis, this is one of those stories you won’t be able to put down once you pick it up…schedule some downtime and dive in!
